The Test phase is used to test your prototypes in the real world. Conduct tests as early and as often as possible to be able to implement the feedback you collect and continuously improve your prototype. Empathy is essential in this phase, too. Meet your users in their familiar surroundings to make sure they feel comfortable and are able to test your prototypes in real situations. It is important to document all your tests and to avoid trying to give them a sales pitch. If you receive negative feedback, do not try to justify your idea. Consider the test a chance to gain additional insights that help you tailor your solution to the needs of your users even better. You do not want to sell anything to your users just yet – you just want to hear their opinion on your ideas. At the end of the day you want to find out what works, what meets your customers’ needs and which changes you might have to make.
