The so-called Define phase is the first phase in the Design Thinking process. The most important task during this phase is the development of a joint understanding of the project and its central problem statement. Your team should be able to answer these questions at the end of your Define phase: What is the situation we are in? What is the problem we are trying to solve? Whom are we trying to help? What are the conditions that we are aware of? Which stakeholders do we need to consider? The Define phase opens up the problem space. Use it to gain a joint understanding of your project order and to develop a project plan. This serves as a foundation and guidance for your project.
